1. Technology training
To organize foreign experts to do the training for domestic enterprises, institutions, etc., and to organize national experts to do the training for foreign enterprises, institutions, etc., on a particular science and technology topic, for example:
'Lahti-the Harmonious Development of the Suburban Region' training program
Under the guide of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, the training program'Lahti-the Harmonious Development of the Suburban Region' organized by Shanghai Technology Transfer & Exchange had a successful conclusion. 12 science and technology management cadres from seven districts and counties of Shanghai Municipal had accomplished the training in Finland and back to Shanghai in early June in 2008.
During the training program in Finland, the trainees studied Finland national innovation system, local innovation system, innovation policy, industrial clusters, enterprises innovation measures and so on. The trainees also visited the famous VTT research and development institutions, Lahti City municipal government, and visited more than 10 famous enterprises such as VAISALA, ISKU, HARTWELL, etc.
2. Investigation tour
To organize domestic enterprises, institutions to study, communication, exchange and learning overseas and to organize foreign enterprises, institutions to study, communication, exchange and learning in China on a specific science and technology topic, for example:
Shanghai Technology Transfer & Exchange organized science and technology agencies to visited EEN headquarter in EU in 2008. The delegations learned the EEN network and European innovation policies and the tech-transfer system in Europe, and established cooperation relationships with tech-transfer organizations in Belgium, France and Germany
